Alex Betts has been a research programmer with NCSA's Advanced Visualization Laboratory since 2002. He creates data visualization software that address domains including astrophysics and earth science, and has contributed to such productions as IMAX Hubble 3D and Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life. In the past he's contributed to creative work presented at venues including ACM SIGGRAPH, Ars Electronica, and ISEA.
