Artwork:  Statue of the First Lunar Governor

 

In honour of Beenoo North, the first lunar governor,  a visionary leader of the lunar federation who brought democratic principals to the moon.  Her dream for a better tomorrow filled with hope for equality and a universe without prejudice continues today. The artists represent “Beenoo North” as the nordic snake shaman goddess signifying her power, strength and universal compassion.

 

This public dedication is constructed with lunarcrete, derived from regolith mined from the craters in the Mare Nectaris and kindly donated by rare earth minerals.
