Tracy Cornish is an Australian artist, designer and researcher with a Doctorate of Philosophy by Research in Visual Art. She is the owner, managing and creative director of two small businesses, a yoga enthusiast, ethical vegan and rabbit advocate. She currently lives in San Diego, California.
Her work explores complex systems in information culture by interweaving theoretical critique and digital media into an experimental visual arts practice. Recent artwork employs experimental digital cinema, mixed reality, augmented reality and alternate reality games as platforms for exploring new forms of audience interaction, intervention and participatory culture. Her current research interests focus on experimental approaches to next generation digital cinema production and glitches as artifacts of digital culture.
Her work has been exhibited in Australia, the United States and Europe. Recent exhibitions and productions include The Museum of Future Objects, Portland; Essa! San Diego, Moon Lust, Chicago; Transmediale 2012, Berlin; Out of the Box, San Francisco; and Color at CICA Museum, South Korea
